South Warwickshire Local Plan – Meeting in Wilmcote Village Hall 8th February

6,700 new homes proposed

Help lead Wilmcote and Pathlow’s response

Come to the village meeting, Saturday 8th February

Land in and near our two villages has been identified as a suitable site for over 6,700 houses as part of South Warwickshire Local Plan.

This would be a new town of high-density housing and at least one school.  The development would be at least 20 times the size of our villages!

The site, going right up to Bearley and down Featherbed Lane is one of twelve sites being considered to help the District Council to deliver an additional 28,000 homes before 2050.  Our site is currently one of top four favoured sites.

Your village needs your voice to ensure that all views and concerns of residents are properly represented as part of the consultation process, which concludes 7th March 2025.  Regular updates will be posted on Wilmcote’s Parish Facebook page.

We are also looking for residents who are interested in forming a Local Plan Group who can help capture and represent the views of village residents. The Local Plan Website is not easy to navigate, so some residents may need support.  Please email the Parish Clerk if you are interested to get involved with your name, email address and how you can help. clerk@wilmcoteparish.gov.uk

Parish Public Meeting

This development would bring significant changes to Wilmcote and Pathlow, plus Bearley villages and the surrounding areas.
